My Issues with the Pokemon Series

My list of things I find wrong or odd about Pokémon:
Key:
R=Red B=Blue Y=Yellow S=Silver G=Gold C= Crystal Rb=Ruby Sp=Sapphire E=Emerald D=Diamond P=Pearl Pt=Platinum FR=FireRed LG=LeafGreen HG=HeartGold SS=SoulSilver
• Why are the houses at the beginning labeled by the kid/plot character? Seriously, look at the signs outside the houses in any game. The house you come out of has a sign that says “[Your Name]’s House” the Rival’s house says “[Rival’s Name]’s house. Can’t we have something better like “This is my house” or “This is [Rival Name]’s house” like we were thinking it? Or in the case of Red/Blue/FireRed/LeafGreen for the Rival: “This is the Oak’s House/Residence”?
• Why did it take till HeartGold/SoulSilver to finally get the ability to run inside buildings? I understand bikes.
• The pokewalker is annoying. It’s bad enough that each version has different Pokémon but why does the walker have to have its own set of exclusive Pokémon that are incredibility rare?
• The Pokémon Spinda, why does every single one have to have a different spot pattern? I swear I wasted 50 Great Balls between Rb/Sp/E just catching all the different spot patterns. The same with the Pokémon Unown.
• Leveling up Pokémon can be annoying such as when trying to level up an Electric Pokémon and the closes field keeps spitting out Ground and Rock type Pokémon
• The Wi-Fi features are cool but it is impossible to find a DS compatible wireless. I had to go and buy a wireless USB link to finally connect just to get the Pikachu colored Pichu.
• On that last note, what is with the events that require you to get it on one game, then transfer it to another get to get the special feature you got the thing for. Example being the Pichu you get through D/P/Pt and have to trade to HG/SS. How many people actively have two DS’s lying around?
• The Rival… They always show up at the most awful moments. In Rb/Sp/E I always hate it when the Rival shows up midway to the third Gym and you don’t expect it. Since you don’t expect them, you are usually in need of a visit to the Pokémon Center so you are at a major disadvantage like in Rb/Sp/E Wally always shows up just before you exit Victory Road which it’s self takes a lot out of you Pokémon, then he shows up and usually makes you have to go through the whole cave again.
• Why is there always a Team [Insert title here]? When they show up is usually in building which means you fight and then have to run out to the Pokémon Center and run through the building back to where you were and take up a lot of time.
• The contests are just weird. You have to raise entirely different Pokémon to compete in those and it those mini games that are used to make treats to raise things like coolness, toughness, beauty, etc to make your Pokémon more appealing.
• The berries used for said mini games are annoying as well. The whole running around the country to make sure each is watered and if you use up all of one type of berry, it’s gone for good.
• The Battle Frontier with all of its different rules and the fact you have to go through the different places multiple times to final face the Frontier Brains and then got through the multiple times again to get the gold version of the symbol.
• The whole Shiny system. Outside of the Red Gyrados in S/G/C/HG/SS, I have only encountered one shine Pokémon, a Budew in the Safari Zone. I got lucky and was able to catch it with out it running away.
• All the HMs and the fact they are constantly changing from game to game like Whirlpool and Defog. Some of those are only used once and some don’t have a very good battle effect. Also goes for the TM that have to be used outside of battle like Dig and Teleport.
• Why do they always make updates in the third game of every generation? Y/C/E/Pt all had things that were not part to the original duo and sometimes we don’t even see some of the changes carry over. Yellow made sense since it was suppose to reflect what happened in the anime and did a very good job of that. (On a different note of Yellow, did anyone else find it difficult to get Bulbasaur? To this day, I have been unable to get him in Yellow. I think I have a Faulty Yellow.)
